Love maths? Join the Victorian Maths Camp at the Y Discovery Camps!
The Victorian Maths Camp is a free residential camp that combines educational maths workshops with exciting camp activities. Students get the chance to develop their mathematical thinking, build lasting friendships and enjoy unique experiences.
The program is delivered by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) in partnership with the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) and Y Discovery Camps (the Y).
What to expect
- Dive deep into maths enrichment with leading teachers, academics, and industry professionals
- Sharpen skills in problem solving, reasoning, communication, and analysis through hands-on workshops
- Connect with like-minded students from across Victoria who share their passion for maths
- Take part in exciting camp activities including flying fox, orienteering, geocaching, hut building, bush walking, and much more!
Who can attend?
The Victorian Maths Camp is for Victorian government school students in Years 9 and 10. It is aimed at high-ability maths students.

Location: Howmans Gap Alpine Discovery Camp, Falls Creek
Date: Monday 14 December to Friday 18 December
Location: Camp Manyung, Mt Eliza
