How many Y Discovery Camp sites are there?

We have six incredible camps located across Victoria. These are:

Do you run camps for schools, families and community groups?

Which Y Discovery Camp is right for my group?

It depends what you're after. Anglesea and Camp Manyung suit coastal, water-based programs. Howmans Gap is our alpine camp for snow and mountain activities. Lady Northcote, Lake Dewar and Mt Evelyn offer bushland settings closer to Melbourne. You can compare all six camps using our Camp Finder, or contact us and we'll help you choose.

Are your camps accessible for people with disabilities?

Most of our camps offer accessible accommodation and bathrooms, including fully accessible ensuite bathrooms and single bed options. Our campsites have wide paths and we offer universally-designed programs and activities.

Several camps also hold formal accessibility accreditations, including Scope Communication Access Accreditation at Camp Manyung. Accessibility details vary by camp. See each camp's page for specifics.

What is the layout of your accommodation rooms?

We offer different room sizes with flexible configurations, ensuite options, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and temperature-controlled rooms. The layouts differ by the camp sites, so we recommend seeing each camp’s page for more details. You can also contact us for more information.

Do you offer self-catering?

We offer self-catering facilities at certain campsites. However, we also provide full catering services with meals prepared by experienced chefs using fresh, local ingredients.

Are Y Discovery Camps safe and are your staff qualified?

Yes. Safety is our highest priority. All Y Discovery Camps staff are trained to the Y Victoria safety standards, and our programs operate in accordance with the Australian Adventure Activity Standards.

Our camps are members of the Australian Camps Association and hold VTIC Camp and Adventure Accreditation. This provides independent verification that we meet rigorous safety, quality, risk management, and operational standards recognised by Victorian schools for overnight camps.

How do I book a camp?

Start by submitting a booking enquiry with your group type, approximate numbers and preferred dates. Our team will follow up to design an activity mix or itinerary and provide a quote before you confirm your stay.

What should we pack and how do we get there?

Packing needs vary by camp and season. We'll send a detailed packing list ahead of your stay. Each camp's page also lists its address and travel time from Melbourne to help you plan transport.
