Camp Manyung is an award-winning coastal adventure camp located on the Mornington Peninsula.
Established in the late 1920s, we're one of Victoria’s oldest campsites. Here, you can experience unforgettable adventures like thousands of schools, families and groups before you.
Whether it's a coastal walk, snorkeling, mountain biking, or other fun activity, our expert camp leaders will help you have an amazing experience. We also offer accessible activities for people with diverse needs.
After an exciting day at camp, relax with our modern facilities and comfortable, accessible accommodation. Some of our facilities are also available for hire.
Programs and activities for everyone to enjoy
From the thrill of snorkeling to the adventure of archery, we offer a diverse range of activities that can be tailored to your group.

We also offer indoor activities, and teacher or group-led activities.
Our accessible programs include a universal high ropes course, giant swing, flying fox, biking and more.
Accommodation and facilities
Stay in comfortable accommodation set in beautiful native gardens.
Our Main Camp Cottage sleeps up to 112 people and features various room sizes, shared wheelchair accessible ensuite bathrooms, a dining room and recreation room.
For teachers and group leaders, we have a separate Camp Leaders Cottage. Perfect for relaxing after an exciting and busy day at camp!
Got a smaller group? Our Regatta House sleeps up to 36 people and is access and inclusion-friendly.
Our camp facilities also include sports courts, meeting rooms, an outdoor chapel and amphitheatre.

Meet Jim – Manager at Camp Manyung
Jim has worked at the Y for 11 years. His favourite things about the Y are the amazing people he gets to work with, the diversity in work, and the people he engages with every day.
Jim finds the impact his team makes truly inspiring, and it keeps a spring in his step. He’s especially proud of the work his team does with people with disabilities.
Away from work, Jim is passionate about paddle sports, especially gravity-assisted paddling. You might find him on a river somewhere in the far reaches of the state!

Are coastal or water activities available?

Do campers need to be able to swim?
All of our activities are challenge by choice. That means you don't have to do anything you aren't able to, or don't feel comfortable doing. We also provide adequate staffing to keep participants safe, and flotation devices are available on a needs by needs basis.

What accommodation is available?
Camp Manyung offers a range of accessible accommodation options including:
- Main camp cottages which sleep up to 112 people
- A main camper leaders cottage (suitable for teachers or group leaders) which sleeps up to 12 people
- Regatta House which is a self-contained lodge ideal for small groups up to 36 people

Yes, we're a versatile venue suitable for retreats and wellbeing groups. We're located in the scenic Mornington Peninsula, which is the perfect setting for relaxation and connecting with nature. We also have conference and meeting facilities available for hire, and a range of accommodation options.

What's your cancellation and wet-weather policy?
Rain won't stop your group from having fun at camp! Your program will go ahead even in wet weather – just make sure your group dresses appropriately and brings rain jackets.
In extreme wind and heat, we may change or cancel activities:
- Wind policy: If the wind is over 60km, we will change or cancel high risk area activities to ensure your safety.
- Heat policy: If the temperature is between 36 and 39 degrees, we will cancel high exposure activities. If it's over 40 degrees, activities will be cancelled and changed to indoor games in air conditioned areas.
If you're worried about the weather and would like to amend your program, we'll work with you and go with what you want to do.

What should campers pack for coastal conditions?
To be best prepared for the coastal weather at Camp Manyung, we recommend packing layers. We'll provide you with a full packing list ahead of your arrival. -
Are your staff qualified and Working with Children Check verified?
Yes, all facilitators are trained and hold current Working with Children Checks.
