At Camp Manyung, we run a range of programs and activities that take advantage of our beautiful environment. From water activities such as snorkelling and sea kayaking, challenge activities including the giant swing and flying fox, to group activities like beach carnival - you'll enjoy the best of the sun, sand and sea at camp.

We also offer family activity days, bush kinder, and girls surf camps.

We also run accessible programs at Manyung including universal high ropes course, giant swing, flying fox, accessible biking, archery, kitchen garden program, initiatives, bush cooking, Amazing Race, Caring For Our Planet, Camp Craft, UHF Radios.

Our activities are run by our qualified program instructors, who use our comprehensive Learning Framework to encourage participants to experience personal growth, appreciate their natural surroundings through outdoor education and connect with the community. Together, we can identify your desired learning outcomes and work with you to tailor a camp experience that matches your requirements.

We want to make your experience as tailored as possible. Which is why the full package option (all activities are instructed by our camp leaders), mid-range and basic options (selected numbers of the activities are led by our camp leaders, with others by your teachers or group leaders) are available.     Should you be faced with a rainy day, you can access a range of indoor activities suitable for all types of groups including:

    • Koori cultural education (run by an external provider - Murrindindi, a member of the Wurundjeri tribe takes participants through a Koorie cultural education session)
    • movie night (borrow our DVDs or bring your own)

    • ultra-high frequency radio games (in teams of three, participants solve puzzles using UHF radios - communication is key to this activity).

    In addition to YMCA-led activities, teachers or group leaders can also lead the activities (for example if you choose a mid-range option - where some of the activities are led by our camp leaders and others by your teachers or group leaders).

  • Family adventure activity days

    Camp Manyung has a range of family outdoor activities event days held throughout the year that will impress everyone from tots to teens, to mums and dads. At Camp Manyung the air is fresh, the trees are native and abundant, and the wildlife is ready to surprise you and your family!

    From hanging out above the treetops with the high ropes course, giant rope swings, archery, and the flying fox – this family day has it all. Perfect for families with primary and secondary school aged kids who can’t choose one activity and want some variety in their life. The day of outdoor fun has everything organised for you all – even a delicious lunch is included.

  • Girls Surf Camp

    Girls Surf Camp is a school holiday program held every year at Camp Manyung. The program is for teenage girls aged 12 to 18 who’d like to become healthier, happier and more confident in themselves. The camp includes learning how to surf and a variety of wellness focuses such as meditation, leadership and personal development.

  • Bush Kinder

    At Camp Manyung, we offer local kindergartens and Early Learning Centres with a designated Bush Kinder site to help your kids broaden their learning experience. We offer a stimulating and challenging playground in nature.

    Here's why you should join us at Camp Manyung for Bush Kinder:

    • designated bush kinder site for your group
    • clean and child friendly facilities including toilets, fire circles, bush walking tracks
    • involvement in our sustainability program, through our chicken farm, vegetable garden, plant and worm farms
    • provision of wet weather gear including puddle suits, jackets as well as jackets and waterproof pants for staff
    • safe environment with all risk assessment carried out on all activities with qualified programmer support
    • full accreditation through Australian Tourism Accreditation Program.

  • Get Active Expo

    Get Active Expo is a free event held every October at Camp Manyung, in line with Victorian Seniors Festival. The event is for people aged 55 and older who would like to find out how to become more active in their local area. Guests get to try activities such as archery and the giant swing, as well as meet local activity clubs and organisations from Frankston and Mornington Peninsula communities. Morning tea is provided.
