Calling all green thumbs! Mount Evelyn Discovery Camp are hosting a tree planting day on Sunday 28 July and we need your help.
Mount Evelyn Discovery Camp are aiming to revegetate a trampled bush area by planting 300 native trees. This will help to improve the local ecosystem and provide a habit for vulnerable species like the yellow-bellied glider, long-nosed bandicoot and powerful owl.
The event will take place on National Tree Day. It’s the perfect time to get our hands dirty and give back to the natural environment and wonderful wildlife around us!
To keep our energy levels up throughout the day, we’ll be providing a free BBQ lunch for all to enjoy (vegetarian options available).
We’ll be outdoors and on our feet for most of the day, so please dress appropriately for the weather. We recommend closed-toe, sturdy shoes and tying back long hair.
Everyone is welcome to join in and plant trees with us. Whether you’re a keen eco-warrior or simply enjoy being in the great outdoors, all ages and abilities can get involved. So bring along the kids, a friend, or just yourself!
It’s sure to be an amazing day and we can’t wait to see you there.
