With an impressive 16 years at the Y (9 years this stint and 7 years before that), Jason is a cornerstone of the Anglesea team. What does he love most? The incredible people he works with and the stunning Surf Coast environment that surrounds him every day.

Outside of work, Jason is all about balance—whether it’s catching waves, hitting the golf course, or diving into a great book.

  • Who is Anglesea Discovery Camp for?
    We welcome schools, community groups, families and organisations looking for outdoor adventure, connection and fun. We also have a nature program team on-site who offer parents playgroup, plus an all day independent Forest Skills program.
  • Where is Anglesea Discovery Camp located?
    Anglesea Discovery Camp is located on the Surf Coast by the iconic Great Ocean Road, about 90 minutes from Melbourne.

    Anglesea Discovery Camp can cater for groups of 20+.
  • What accommodation is available?
    Guests can stay in comfortable bunk room style accommodation, some with shared bathrooms and some with ensuites. We also have tents on-site and off-site for camping under the stars.
  • Is Anglesea Discovery Camp accessible?

    Yes! Many of our activities can be adapted to meet your requirements. Our universal harness means more people can participate in our adventure activities, plus we have a variety of bikes to suit people’s needs. Our accommodation also features wheelchair / mobility accessible rooms, showers and toilets.

  • What activities do you offer?

    We offer more than 50 activities, including a giant swing, high ropes, mountain biking, archery, beach volleyball, canoeing, crate climb, bouldering, Indigenous trails, skateboarding and bush cooking. We can also arrange surfing, stand up paddleboarding and other activities with our partners.

  • Are water-based activities supervised?
    Yes, all of our water-based activities are supervised.
  • Can we visit all year round?

    Yes! We're open year-round and can accommodate groups in every season, excluding Christmas Day.

  • Can we visit the beach?
    You sure can. We offer activities like beach carnival and beach games, so there's lots of opportunities to enjoy the sun, sea and sand!
  • What should campers pack for coastal weather?
    We recommend packing for the weather and bringing spare clothing. You may also want to wear layers in the cooler months, as it can get a bit chilly by the coast. Our friendly team will provide you with a detailed packing list ahead of arrival.
  • What's included in the cost of our visit?

    For school groups, the price includes accommodation, meals and program activities.

    For community and family groups, the price includes accommodation and meals. Activities are a fun addition to your camp experience.
