At Howmans Gap, we can create an experience tailored to your needs. We offer a variety of packages throughout the year - from snow adventures in winter, to experiencing the alpine high country in summer.
Everyone is welcome in winter - from individuals and families to schools and community groups. We usually cater for schools during the week, and individuals, families and community groups on weekends and during school holidays. In summer, our camp is open to schools and large groups (whilst we accept groups of any size, for groups under 20 guests additional charges may apply).
Our packages include a range of accommodation options and programs and activities - with tailored pricing based on your requirements. For example, you have the 50% option - where half of the activities are led by our camp leaders and other other half by your teachers or group leaders; or you can choose the 100% option - where all activities are instructed by our camp leaders.

Summer packages for large groups
Whether you're a sporting team, community group or anything in between, at Howmans Gap we can personalise a stay to suit your group's needs. We're happy to program some exciting activities, or you can plan them yourself.
We take schools group bookings for weekends and school holidays. We pride ourselves on creating personalised camps for each individual group depending on your needs and budget.Our group packages can include:
- one to six nights accommodation
- all meals
- private or shared dorm style room with bunk beds
- shared bathroom facilities
- linen included
- coach transfers door to door from school (for schools local to Howmans or in the Melbourne area)
- activities including: archery, bush walking, camp outs, campfire cooking, giant swinging, kayaking, mountain biking and rock climbing.

Summer packages for schools
We have a range of school packages available during summer, to make the booking process simple and stress free. With all budgets in mind, we can personalise each camp around the schools requirements.
We take schools bookings for during the week. You can stay at Howmans Gap from one night to six nights, with all meals included. You can also choose how much you want your school camping program to be instructed by us. For example, you have the 50% option - where half of the activities are led by our camp leaders and other other half by your teachers; or you can choose the 100% option - where all activities are instructed by our camp leaders. The choice is yours.Our group packages can include:
- from one night's accommodation upwards
- all meals
- shared dorm style room with bunk beds
- shared bathroom facilities
- coach transfers door to door from school (for schools local to Howmans or in the Melbourne area)
- teachers go free (1:10 teacher/student ratio)
- activities including: archery, bush walking, camp outs, campfire cooking, giant swinging, kayaking, mountain biking and rock climbing
Please note, during summer whilst we accept groups of any size, for groups under 20 guests additional charges may apply.
In addition, we never mix other groups or families within the same wing or accommodation being used by school bookings.
